How to Quilt Intersecting Circles

Okay, this video is to show you how I marked the the circles, the intersecting circles for the outside border of the flying zebra quilt. And first of all, I mark the center of the border, and then… now I’m going to use this ruler. It’s just a scrapbooking ruler to mark that first circle I line the line up here with the line I’ve drawn on the…on the border, and I just quickly draw my circle just like this and and then I line up the center of that circle and you’ll see how the the circles intersect when I draw… the next one. I’ll show you that in the second And see how they’ve intersected and I’ll oops I forgot I have to mark the the center of this circle, and I’ll move over Line up my lines again, and you could make this this template by yourself is. Like, this is just a… template that came with a scrapbooking kit that I have. But you could definitely just make this out of out of a piece of plastic And have your circles lining up how you would like them to line up. And then you just continue on… making your circles all the way across and then you make your circles all the way across that way As you can see I’ve already started quilting it and I just thought I’d show you… I’ve stopped at this circle here, and I’ll… show you, okay. Sew to the other end here and then you have to turn the quilt and the key to getting around these curves is just to really slow…sew slowly. And follow that line Sometimes you have to stop, turn your quilt a bit… And as you can see I’m just using a regular presser foot. I tried using the walking foot And I couldn’t see just the line to sew along it so… and I’m finding it it’s feeding through just fine with just a regular foot Just keep turning… that circle… you have to, you know, move your quilt you have to be willing to to move your quilt into… just very very slowly, but this one takes… longer than than if you were just straight line and sewing… Then you stop it there. Turn your quilt… Sew down… Turn again… Get your quilt started… Adjust your quilt as you need to There we go. Just keep…well remove your quilting stitches… Or your basting stitches. And just keep going until you’ve finish this pattern And it takes a… takes a little bit longer and you have to keep moving your quilt…
