CROCHET SUPERHERO TUTORIAL -Iron Man – Part One | Teenie Crochets

Hi crochet people, I am Teenie Crochets
and today I’ll be showing you how to crochet this Iron-man. If you like these
tutorials please do me a massive favor and leave a thumbs up now! it’s free and
it really helps me out. For a link to the written pattern and all the items that
you’ll need don’t forget to check the description box below,
and other than that got your crochet hooks at the ready and let’s get going! Beginning with the red DK yarn on my 3.5
millimeter hook I’m going to slip knot onto my hook and I’m going to chain 6 so
1 2 3 4 5 & 6, now into the second chain from hook so we don’t count the chain
the chain that is on the hook and not this first one but into the second chain
I’m going to do one single crochet and I’m going to do one single crochet into
each of the next three chains 1, 2 and 3
and into the last chain I’m going to do three single crochets
all into this one chain one two and three and that’s going to allow me to
rotate the work so that we can work back along the bottom of the foundation chain
to the bottom of the stitches that we just made so I’m now going to do one
single crochet into the next three chains so at the bottom of the next
three stitches one two and three and then for the last chain so the first
stitch from the first round I’m going to do two single crochets into
that space so one and two, so that gives us a total of twelve stitches. For the
next round we want to increase from these twelve to eighteen stitches so to
do that I’m going to single crochet two single crochets into the first stitch of
this round so into this first stitch I’m going a single
crochet for one and two I’m now going to do one single crochet
into each of the next three stitches 1 2 & 3
I’m now going to do two single crochets into each of the next 3 stitches so I’m
going to increase into each of the next three stitches 1 2 into the first
stitch 3 & 4 into the second stitch 5 & 6 into the third stitch now I’m going to
do 1 single crochet in each of the next 3 stitches so 1 2 & 3 and then for the
last 2 stitches of this round I’m going to do 2 single crochets into each of
them so 1 & 2 into the first stitch three and four into the last stitch or
the second stitch so we now have 18 single crochets for our next round we’re
going to single crochet around these 18 stitches in the back loop only so if we
look at each of our stitches we have two legs we have the front leg this side and
we have the back leg and normally we go under both these stitches to do a
crochet but for this next round I’m only going to pick up the back leg of each
stitch and I’m going to do 18 single crochets around in the back leg I only
of each stitch. There we go and now for our next round we’re going to single
crochet around these 18 stitches for two rows but we’re going to go through both
of the legs of each stitch now so back to a normal single crochet and we’re
going to single crochet these 18 stitches twice. After our second row of single crochet
around it’s time to start doing some decreases so this is the bottom of his
foot if you’ve worked that out, so we’re only going to decrease at the front of
his foot for his toe,s so we have 18 single crochets and for the next round
we are going to decrease to 14 so to do that we’re going to single crochet into the
1st five stitches one two three four and five and now we’re going to single
crochet two stitches together four times so the decrease method that we’re going
to use we’re going to insert our hook under the front loop only of the first
stitch and then take our hook straight under the the front loop only of the
second stitch so I have three loops on my hook yarn over and pull
through two loops so I now have two loops on my hook then I’m going to yarn
over and pull through both of these loops and that’s how we’re going to
decrease while we’re making Iron-man, so that was our first decrease let’s do our
second then our 3rd and out forth then to finish this round I’m going to
do five single crochets one two three four and five. For the next round we want
to decrease from these fourteen stitches to twelve and to do that we’re going to
single crochet one into the first five stitches so 1 2 3 4 5 now I’m going to
single crochet two stitches together twice so decrease once and decrease
twice and to finish this round I’m going to single crochet one into the last five
stitches so one two three
four and five so we now have 12 stitches and we’re going a single crochet around
these 12 stitches for 14 rows so once I finished my 14 rows I’ll meet you back
here and we’ll carry on. There we go so there’s our first leg made so if you
haven’t already you need to make two of these and I’ve already made my first one
so this was the second leg that I made so if it’s the first like that you make
you want to fasten off on that one but if it’s the second leg you want to keep
the yarn attached because we’ll use this yarn to attach the two legs together so
I’m going to insert my hook back into my loop and pull tight now it’s time to
join the legs so we’re gonna join the legs in this position so we want to do a
couple of single crochets to take our working stitch from the back of the work. We want to do a couple of extra stitches
in this case it’ll be about three to bring the working yarn to the left hand
side of the foot thats attached to the yarn so if we do that now 1, 2 and three I’m just going to check the
position of that because what I’m going to do is attach this stitch is the rightmost stitch of the 1st leg and
I’m happy with that position so now that I’m at the stitch that I want I’m going
to chain one loosely then I’m going to pick up the first legs that i made and
into the rightmost stitch of this leg gonna insert my hook into the stitch
yarn over pull through and then I’m going to complete
as a slip stitch so what two legs are joined now so I’m
going to continue to single crochet around the 1st leg that we made so
there’s 11 stitches remaining because we just slip stitched into one so that took
away one from our 12 stitches leaving 11 so I’m going to single crochet around
the 11 remaining stitches on this light so that’s one two, three, for five six seven eight nine ten and eleven then we’re going to single crochet into
one half on the chain one space that we
made I’m going to do a single crochet to one
half of this chain one space and now I’m going to continue to single
crochet around 11 stitches on this leg because we chained one from one of
the stitches we’re not going to count that stitch so we’re going to count
the remaining 11, one, two three four, five, six seven, eight, nine, ten and eleven and to finish this round we’re going to do a
single crochet to the opposite side of that chain one space there we go so we
now have 24 stitches we have 11 stitches from each leg and we have a chain one
space and we single crochets into both sides of it making two stitches so
that’s 24 stitches and I’m going to continue to single crochet around these
24 stitches for six rows so six rows of single
crochet around now after your six rounds of single
crochet it’s time to do an increase round so we currently have 24 stitches
and we want to increase them to 30 so we’re going to single crochet into three
stitches and then we’re going to do two single crochets into the next stitch and
we’re going to do that six times so we’re going to single crochet four one
two and three and into the next stitch we’re going to do two single crochets
four four and five then we’re going to single crochet four six seven and eight
and into the next stitch we’re going to increase with nine and ten and I’m going
to single crochet 4 11 12 and 13 increase in the next stitch for 14 and
15 single crochet 16 17 and 18 increase in the next stitch for 19 and 20 single
crochet 21 22 23 increase in the next stitch for 24 and 25 then single crochet
26 27 28 and in the last stitch we’re going to increase for 29 and 30 so we’re
now going to single crochet around these Beauty stitches for three rounds it’s
now time for another increase rub so I am going to increase from 30 stitches to
36 and to do that I’m going to single crochet into four stitches then we’re
going to do two single crochets into the following stitch and I’m going to do
that six times it’s a single crochet four one two three four increase in the
next stitch four five and six single crochet seven eight nine and ten
increase in the next stitch for 11 and 12 single crochets 13 14 15 and 16
increase in the next stitch for 17 and 18 single crochet 19 20 21 22 increase
in the next stitch for 23 and 24 single crochet 25 26 27 28 increase in the next
stitch for 29 and 30 and then single crochet or 31 32 33 34 and increase in
the last stitch of this round for 35 and 36 now we’re going to single crochet
around these 36 stitches for 4 rows so it’s now time to begin some decreases I
currently have 36 stitches and I want to decrease society so I am going to do one
single crochet into four stitches and I’m going to single crochet two stitches
together and I’m going to do that six times it’s a single crochet for one two
three and four then we’re going to decrease for stitch number five single
crochet six seven eight and nine then we can decrease
for number 10 single crochet 11 12 13 and 14 decrease for number 15 single crochet 16 17 18 and 19 decrease
for 20 single crochet 21 22 23 24 decrease for 25 single crochet 26 27 28 29 and decrease
for our last stitch for number 30 for our next row we want to decrease
from 30 stitches to 24 so to do that I’m going to single crochet into 3 stitches
then I’m going to single crochet two stitches together six times so single
crochet four one two and three now decrease the stitch number four single
crochet five six and seven decrease for eight single crochet nine ten and eleven
increase for twelve single crochet 13 14 and 15 decrease to 60 single crochet 17 18 and 19 decrease for
20 single crochet 21 22 on 23 decrease for
stitch number 24 so chronic round we wanna decrease the 18 stitches and to
do that we’re going to single crochet into two stitches and then single
crochet two stitches together six times so single crochet one and to decrease
for three single crochet four and five decrease for six single crochet seven
eight decrease for nine single crochet ten and eleven decrease for 12 single
crochet thirteen forty decrease for fifteen single crochet 1617 and decrease for 18
so I’m going to pull my loop through just for a second I’m going to add a
little bit more polyfill so far to my Ironman I interrupt this tutorial with a quick
commercial break if like me you’re a huge Avengers fun
than this Infinity Gauntlet Patton is a lost it’s currently at a reduced price
so why not go and grab yours now before the spawn enemies links below now back
to our regularly scheduled programming and then we can reinsert our hook and
for our next round we’re going to decrease to 12 stitches to do that I’m
going to single crochet into one stitch and then single crochet two stitches
together and I’m going to do that six times it’s a single crochet one and
decrease to single crochet three decrease before single crochet five decrease four six single crochet seven decrease four eight single crochet nine decrease for tat single crochet 11 and decrease for 12 so
now we’re on to our last decrease round for his body
and we’re going to decrease from 12 stitches to 9 and to do that I’m going
to single crochet into two stitches and then single crochet two stitches
together three times it’s a single crochet one and two decrease for three single crochet for five
decrease for six single crochet seven and eight decrease
when I we’re gonna form a look up again I’m
just gonna do the last stop of his body now let’s do his head so we have nine
stitches and on this next row we want an increase for 18 so I’m going to do two
single crochets into every stitch beneath one and two three and four five and six seven and eight 9 and 11 and 12 13 and 14 15 and 16 17
and 18 Oh 17 and 18 I got carried away then so we now have 18 stitches and we
want to increase from 18 to 24 so we’re going to do a single crochet into two
stitches and then two single crochets it’s the following stitch six times it’s
a single crochet one and two increase in the next stitch three and
four single crochet five and six increase in the next stitch for seven
and eight single crochet nine ten increase in the next four eleven and
twelve single crochet thirteen and fourteen
increase in the next four 15 and 16 single crochet 17 and 18 increase in the
next stitch for 19 and 20 single crochet for 21 and 22 22 an increase in the last
stitch for 23 and 24 I don’t want to do 24 24 there we go
so for our next round we want to increase to 30 stitches and to do that
we’re going to single crochet into three stitches then do two single crochets
into the following stitch six times it’s a single crochet four one two and three
increase in the next stitch for four and five single crochet six seven and eight and eight increase in the next stitch
for nine and ten single crochet eleven twelve or thirteen
increase in the next stitch for fourteen and fifteen single crochet sixty-six to
you seventeen and eighteen increase in the next for nineteen and twenty single
crochet twenty one twenty one 22 23 24 Oh increase for 24 and 25
single crochet 26 27 28 an increase in the next stitch for 29 and 30 so we’re
now going to single crochet around these safety stitches the six rows and it’s
now time to start decreasing his hat and finishing it off so we have 30 stitches
we’re going to be juiced to 24 again so we’ll go to single crochet so three
stitches and then single crochet two stitches together six times it’s a
single crochet one two three decrease for four single crochet five six and
seven decrease for eight single crochet 9 10 and 11 decrease for
12 single crochet 13 14 15 decrease for 16 single crochet 17 18 19 decrease 4 20 single crochet 21 22 23 and decrease for
24 so now we’re going to decrease from 24
stitches to 18 so I’m going to single crochet into two stitches and then do
and then single crochet two stitches together six times single crochet one to
decrease four three single crochet four five decrease four six single crochet
seven eight decrease for nine single crochet ten eleven decrease for twelve single crochet 1314 decrease for 15 single crochet sixteen seventeen
decrease for eighteen then I’m gonna pull my loop up I’m gonna
stop this head and now time to do one more decrease and
we’re going to decrease from 18 stitches to 12 so I’m going to single crochet
into one stitch and then single crochet two stitches together six times single
crochet 1 decrease go to single crochet three decrease before single crochet five decrease the six single crochet seven decrease for age single crochet 9 decrease foot 10 single crochet 11 decrease for 12 and
now I’m going to slip stitch into the next stitch to join and chain 1 to
fasten off then I can cut my tail so before I close this hole I’m just going
to add a little bit more stupid and then I’m going to thread my tail
on to it my Imbros your needle I’m going to close this hole by picking up the
front loop only of each of the remaining stitches and then hold tight to close and then
just make sure you weave in this tail end really well
