Colcha con una banda central de tiras de patchwork

Hello everybody, welcome to my channel “Hecho entre encinas” [made among oaks] My name is Maria Isabel , are you ready for a new tutorial? I have sewn this bedspread with different coloured stripes, what I wanted is that they combine well with the painting on the wall but the yellow and the orange colours of the painting are much bolder but as the other colour of the fabric is white, the colours are not so bright but put together they look great As there are leaves on the white fabric, I have quilted it with leaves, I am going to show you how I have done this The stripes are 10 cm or 5cm wide, but when I have matched them together, the only thing that I have taken into account has been that the colours match together well not the width of the stripes, the stripes are different width The length of each one is 37cm, that was what I needed to make the bedspread because I did not have enough white fabric for sewing the bedspreads so that is why I have placed the stripes in the middle, at the end it looks nice and at the same time I have enough fabric for sewing two bedspreads, I have placed a wadding in the middle it is quite thick, it is made of cotton, and I have placed a transparent fabric behind, it is not very good for this but that was what I had at home I am going to sew it using the even-feed foot that is good for sewing that for it equalizes the feeding of the upper and lower layers of fabric because the fabrics have different thickness, then I will quilt it drawing the same leaves that are on the white part, I have cut several leaves using silk paper and I have basted them onto the stripes I will sew a white seam using this presser foot around all the leaves I have quilted it, I have removed the paper, well, there is still a bit here I have used the even-feed foot, then I will lower the feed dogs and I am going to quilt around the leaves And here on each side, I have sewn a zigzag seam and I am going to sew a bias on each side, it measures 6cm wide , I have folded it in half and I am going to sew it like this and I will turn it over to the other side, and I will sew it by hand on the other side, the same thing for the other side Well, here you can see the result of what I have just done, these are the drawings I have quilted using the free-hand embroidery foot Now we have to join it to the white part, this is the right side of the fabric I have turned it over to the right side, the edges are turned over to the right side so that the finish is well on the reverse side I will place the band on top, on one side and on the other side, so that if we turn it over the backsside will have a nice finish and I will sew it by hand with a hidden stitch and on the right side I will sew it by hand by the edges The same thing on the other side For the sides of the bedspread, I will do the same thing that I have done with the band I will cut a bias, I fold it and I will sew it by the sides, I will turn it over and I will sew it on the reverse side of the fabric Now I am going to show you how to sew the corners, it is a bit more difficult The 6cm bias must be folded and we place it on the edges, you sew it about half cm from the edge so you can turn it over and when you arrive to the corners there is a marking half a cm from the end, I am going to sew just to the marking but I will not go forward and then I fold this part of the corner like so I go over with my fingernail, this marking will be useful because I will place it just on on the edge above, you fold it like so and then I go on sewing on the other side the seam will be at half a cm from the edge I am going to repeat, I do not sew till the end, I sew until half a cm from the edge, I fold it, and I place this fold above so it is perpendicular, it looks like a square and I go on sewing at half a cm from the edge, and now I will sew it by hand When you have sewn this on the machine, I turn it over and I sew it by hand with a hidden stitch when I come to the corner, I fold it like this this would be the other part, I fold it like a triangle and it has to match with the other edge they have to match and I sew it on the other side you have to be carefult that these corners match well both sides must match together well Well, this is the result of my work, I hope you like it, and I hope you subscribe to my channel…
