איך תופרים עיבוד/ How to sew a neckline facing

Hello, I am Tanya Man from Bouton studio and today i will explain you
how to sew a facing to a necklace we need to place our shirt on a piece of fabric that we’ve cut earlier In order to cut accurately the facing the fabric is folded in two, and the shirt as well Now we’ll pin the shirt,
So it wont move and we’ll cut it according to the neckline’s shape now we can remove the pins and mark from the edge, 5 cm (2 inches),
That’s the width of the facing Now we’ll do the same with the shirt’s back part Pin the shirt to the fabric and now we’ll cut according to the neckline’s shape and we’ll mark the same width we had before Now we have to pieces of facing,
On is the front piece and the other the back piece we need to iron a fusible interlining to both pieces So I’ve taped the interlining,
The reason you do this is to prevent stretching and the next stage is
sewing both of the facings to each other Two pieces,
the seam is 1 Cm (0.4 inch) deep from the edge Now we’ll iron the seam open, and than do an Overlock seam all around the outer edge Now our facing is ready,
taped with fusible interlining, the seams are ironed open,
and we have an overlock seam on the outer edge And now we’ll attach it to the shirt,
How do we do that? We place the right side of the facing (the outer side),
on the right side of the shirt First of all we pin the shoulder seams together Afterwards we pin the facing all around the neckline Now everything is attached,
and ready to be sewn in the machine
